Baldersby is a thriving community with a farm shop,  Anglican Mission Room, a cricket ground with pavilion and children’s play area. The local Church of St James is a Church of England parish church located on Wide Howe Lane in Baldersby St James within the diocese of York. It is a Victorian church and a grade 1 listed building, designed by William Butterfield.

The Roman road, Dere Street, forms the western boundary of the parish, now followed by the A1(M) motorway. Baldersby Gate Interchange, Junction 50 of the A1(M), connects the A61 to the A1(M) in the south of the parish.

Our Notice Boards are situated outside the Mission Room in Baldersby and next to the post box in Baldersby St James.
